STORMWATER PROJECTS

Stormwater Master Plan, Town of Swansboro, North Carolina
Prepared Clean Water Management Trust Fund (CWMTF) grant application for preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Report for the Stormwater/Sediment Basin Improvements. Funds were secured from CWMTF and NC Division of Coastal Management.

General Obligation Bond Drainage Improvements, City of Greenville, North Carolina
Storm drainage improvements project consisting of over a one-third mile watershed within the Tar-Pamlico River Basin.

Drainage Improvements, Martin Community College, Williamston, North Carolina
Rivers provided the stormwater infrastructure improvements plans for the campus of Martin Community College located within the Roanoke River Basin.

Upper Skewarkee Canal, Town of Williamston, North Carolina
Approximately 2,000 LF of major storm drainage channel improvements including two sections of triple 72-inch RCP culverts, restored a lined channel to accommodate 305 CFS during 10-year storm. Project implemented to resolve flooding in residential neighborhood.

Stormwater Study, City of Washington, North Carolina
Rivers assisted with the grant application to the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources Water Resources Development Project Grant Program. The City was awarded the grant and as a result, Rivers conducted the study.

 

ROADWAY AND THOROUGHFARE PROJECTS

Gordon Street & Streetscape Improvements, Town of Beaufort, North Carolina
Rivers conducted the surveying, design and construction administration for the street improvements project consisting of 1,800 LF of new storm sewer construction.

2004 Street Improvements, Town of Williamston, North Carolina
Rivers conducted the engineering, surveying and technical services for street repairs/renovation, drainage repairs/renovation and street resurfacing.

Arlington Boulevard, City of Greenville, North Carolina
Various street improvements since 1974 street planning, extensions, tie-ins to major intersections, curb and gutter and thoroughfare widening.

2006 Street Improvements, Town of Clayton, North Carolina
Rivers provide the study, preliminary and final designs, the bidding and construction administration and inspection for the redesign and improvements of four town streets. The redesigns included curb, sidewalks, water mains, hydrant and valve replacements, sewer replacements and drainage improvements.
