The plant was expanded from its former capacity of 4.5 MGD to treat up to 6.0 MGD.

The expansion consisted of 2 additional filters and softeners rated up to 1.5 MGD and a treatment building expansion, an additional aerator, detention tank, filter pump and wet well; three new 6.0 MGD, 250 hp high service pumps with variable speed drives and associated instrumentation and controls.? The water plant's waste treatment facilities were expanded to include an additional waste holdings basis and sludge drying beds to handle the additional waste generated.? Four of the existing eight wells were upgraded to 1,000 GPM pumps and motors.? The expanded WTP capacity will be limited to 5.45 MGD until 2 additional wells are added to increase the plant to the maximum capacity of 6.0 MGD.
