Septic Tank Effluent Pump (STEP) Low Pressure Sewer System, Town of Chocowinity, North Carolina
Designed a sanitary sewer collection and transmission system for 360 residences and 7 commercial users which included 93,000 LF of pressure sewer collection mains and a 350 GPM transmission pump station.
The collection system included installation of 360 individual septic tanks with effluent pump and control on private property, as well as 7 commercial pump stations. The transmission pump station includes an auxiliary power generator and remote telemetry to transport all collected wastewater through 17,600 LF of 8-inch effluent force main for treatment and disposal at the Washington Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant.
