General Obligation Bond Drainage Improvements, City of Greenville, NC
Rivers presented local residents with recommendations for drainage improvements at public informational workshops. Construction drawings were completed in accordance to the City's approved design alternates.
The first phase of this project exceeded $1.5 million in construction cost and was completed in June of 2007. A second phase consisting of replacement of 720 linear feet of 72" storm drainage pipe through the City's public works yard was completed in Summer 2008. Coordination with CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern Railroad is necessary to obtain permits and encroachment agreements for two additional phases of the General Obligation Bond Drainage Improvements. Once all agreements are in place, construction of final phases should be underway in Summer of 2009.
