Recreation Park Master Plan, Town of Winterville, NC
The Town purchased 4 acres of land adjacent to the existing 15-acre Winterville Recreation Park.
- The existing park had been constructed in several phases but lacked well-programmed spaces and traffic circulation. The park was bisected by a public road and included three baseball fields, non-ADA compliant play equipment, a concession stand, office and 125-car parking lot.
- Rivers developed a master plan to unify the existing park and a proposed 4-acre expansion, realigning the road so the park is not bisected.
