Skewarkee Trail, Town of Williamston, North Carolina
Working from an original design prepared by the NCDOT, Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation, Rivers provided design enhancements and construction administration.
- Rivers provided design alternations and full construction administration for one mile of a 10-foot wide asphalt pedestrian and bicycle trail that was constructed over an old railroad bed.
- The project also consisted of brick paved and raised pedestrian crosswalks, safety rails, curb and gutter and storm drainage facilities.
- Permits: NCDENR for Erosion & Sedimentation Control Plan and CAMA permit.
