Recreation Park Expansion & Improvements, Town of Winterville, North Carolina

The Town has recently purchased 4 acres of land adjacent to the existing 15 acre Winterville Recreation Park.

The existing park has been built in phases and lacks well programmed spaces and traffic circulation. Currently, the park is bisected by a public road and includes three baseball fields, non-ADA compliant play equipment, a concession stand, office and 125 car parking lot.
Rivers has developed a master plan to unify the existing park and the 4 acre expansion, realigning the road so the park is not bisected.
The current concept includes adding 75 parking spaces, concession plaza, a baseball field, walking trails, interpretative nature area, amphitheater, tennis courts, and tot lots.
