Your Town: The Citizens. Institute Of Rural Design Foundation Of Renewal For Eastern North Carolina (FoR ENC)
The Towns of Ayden, Edenton, Hertford, Murfreesboro, Plymouth and Tarboro participated in a three-day .Your Town. workshop planned and hosted by Foundation of Renewal for Eastern North Carolina (FoR ENC) and sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). As a component of FoR ENC's Creative Communities Initiative, this workshop focused on developing strategies to incorporate art, planning and design to drive a creative economy.
Rivers worked with FoR ENC to plan the workshop, develop maps, and facilitate community work sessions. Throughout the course of the workshop, attendees from each town addressed issues specific to their community including natural resources as amenities, mixed-use development, and diversified housing.
