Herritage Street Illustrative Concept, Kinston, North Carolina
The Pride of Kinston, which focuses upon revitalization of Kinston's Downtown, asked Rivers to develop a Schematic Illustration of a typical block of Herritage St.
Using photorealistic imaging and three-dimensional modeling, Rivers developed an illustration of an improved Herritage St. including removal of overhead utility lines and traffic calming/pedestrian friendly devices such as curbed parking bump outs and raised crosswalks. The illustration also depicts decorative pavements, furnishings and light, as well as a public plaza at the CSS Neuse Ironclad replica attraction. This illustration will be used as a marketing tool by the Pride of Kinston to garner support and enthusiasm for upcoming phases of design and construction.
