Hospice Care Facility, Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC  Rivers worked with a team of architects to design a site to include parking, walks, patient courtyards, memorial service space and associated utilities around the proposed hospice care building.

 

West 5th St. Gateway & Streetscape Design, City of Greenville, NC   The West Fifth Street Gateway/Streetscape project is one of the first phases of the City of Greenville's Streetscape Master Plan to be implemented.

 

Herritage Street Illustrative Concept, Kinston, NC The Pride of Kinston, which focuses upon revitalization of Kinston's Downtown, asked Rivers to develop a Schematic Illustration of a typical block of Herritage St.

 

Convention Center District Schematic Streetscape Master Plan, City of Greenville, NC  The City of Greenville's Convention Center District is identified as the area along Greenville Boulevard between Memorial Drive and Evans Street, which attracts residents and visitors to the restaurants, shops, hotels, and convention center.

 

Railroad Street Landscape & Pedestrian Access Improvements Preliminary Plan, Town of Winterville, NC   The Town of Winterville's Railroad Street runs though the heart of downtown parallel to the CSX Railroad.

 

East Carolina Heart Institute at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC   This project was a part of Pitt County Memorial Hospital's continuing efforts to create a unified campus appearance for new building construction.

 

Town of Ayden Downtown Revitalization Charrette, Town of Ayden, NC
The North Carolina Department of Commerce's Small Town Main Street Program held a three-day design charrette to garner input from the Town's citizens and develop design recommendations to revitalize Ayden's downtown.

 

East Campus Landscape Plan at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC    To accommodate the new East Carolina Heart Institute (ECHI), PCMH designers relocated Moye Boulevard by moving five boulevard lanes to the east in a gradual curve behind a new Central Utility Plant (CUP) and in front of the child care center and the Ronald McDonald House, where it joins the existing route.

 

Your Town: The Citizens. Institute Of Rural Design - Foundation of Renewal For Eastern North Carolina (FoR ENC)
The Towns of Ayden, Edenton, Hertford, Murfreesboro, Plymouth and Tarboro participated in a three-day Your Town workshop planned and hosted by Foundation of Renewal for Eastern NC(FoR ENC) and sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). As a component of FoR ENC's Creative Communities Initiative, this workshop focused on developing strategies to incorporate art, planning and design to drive a creative economy.

 

Pedestrian & Parking Lot Study, Town of Clayton, NC  A conceptual design, feasibility analysis and construction cost estimates were completed for future surface parking projects and pedestrian connectors with a goal of combining multiple informal parking lots into aesthetic parking and pedestrian areas. The conceptual design developed for this project clearly defined pedestrian and vehicle-oriented spaces associated with downtown parking facilities, while integrating place-making opportunities for public spaces.
