Current openings:

Landscape Architect / Project Manager:

Rivers & Associates, Inc. is seeking a talented registered Landscape Architect with 5-10 years of experience to manage small to large-sized projects from our Greenville, NC Office.  Experience in site design including grading, hardscape, planting and construction documentation required.  LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), with specialty preferred.

Successful candidates should possess a good work ethic, strong design and project management skills, effective client communication experience, be highly motivated and excel in a collaborative work environment with civil engineers, planners and surveyors.  Software skill requirements include Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Microsoft Office Suite.  The person in this position should be able to investigate and propose solutions in all phases of the planning and design process.

Providing a work portfolio is required for consideration.

 

Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspector (Greenville Office):

Rivers & Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a Resident Project Representative for the Greenville, NC office. Candidates are responsible for daily project representation/inspection for construction of water, sewer, drainage and street projects in eastern North Carolina.  Experience with reinforced concrete structures, piping and general construction procedures is preferred.

The successful candidate will be familiar with field and office procedures, proficient in verbal communication with office and field personnel, and routinely write inspection reports and other miscellaneous correspondence.  Computer skills and capability to read and comprehend construction plans, specifications, and contracts are required.

A B.S. or technical degree in construction, planning, engineering field is preferred with a minimum of five (5) years of construction supervision experience. Certification by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies is considered a plus.

 

 

Project Manager – Water Resources:

Rivers & Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager for water resource engineering projects.  Candidates are responsible for project planning, grant & loan applications, hydraulic modeling/analysis, preparation of engineering reports, final design, and providing bidding & construction administration services.

Typical projects for our Municipal, County or Utility clients include water & sewer mains, pumping stations, storage tanks, wells, water treatment facilities and wastewater treatment facilities.

The ideal candidate for a Project Manager position will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with N.C. Professional Engineer’s license and 10 or more years of water and wastewater design experience.  A Master’s degree is a plus for candidates working on water and wastewater plant projects.

Project Managers are routinely responsible for client management; project/funding development; managing multiple projects through the design, permitting, bidding and construction phases; managing a team of engineers, CAD designers/drafters, and Construction Inspectors; establishing engineering budgets and writing contracts; invoicing; and meeting financial goals and business expectations.

 

CAD Designer:

Rivers and Associates, Inc., seeks a CAD Designer with 5 to 15 years of experience.  Must be proficient in using the latest Autodesk Civil 3D software, experience in Microstation Geopak a plus.  Experience with big box retailers, convenience stores, grading, drainage, storm water management, roadway, parking lots, sidewalks, utility design and surveying required.

 

Hydraulics/Drainage Engineer:

Rivers and Associates is looking for a Hydraulics/Drainage Engineer.  Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in storm water computation and design with current NC PE licensure.  Candidate must be proficient in MicroStation, Geopak Drainage Design and HEC-RAS, have relevant experience with NCDOT hydrologic / hydraulic design including the development of roadway drainage plans, Culvert and Bridge Survey Reports, and FEMA flood studies.

Additional experience in the design of Storm water BMP’s, NCDOT and NCDEQ Erosion Control Plans and Permitting; producing site development plans for multi-family, single-family and commercial projects; and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is considered a plus.

 

Civil Engineer:

Rivers and Associates is looking for a Civil Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience.  Applicants must be experienced in producing site development plans for multi-family, single-family and commercial projects.  Must be experienced with Civil 3D design software and able to produce plans for site, grading, storm water management, utility, erosion control, etc.  Current NC PE licensure is required.

Additional experience with MicroStation, Geopak Design and Corridor Modeling on NCDOT projects is a plus.

 

Roadway Design Engineer:

Rivers and Associates is looking for a Roadway Design Engineer.  Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with NC PE licensure required.  Candidate must be proficient in MicroStation, Geopak Design and Corridor Modeling, and have relevant and recent experience with NCDOT roadway design projects.

Additional experience in the design of NCDOT drainage plans, NCDOT and NCDEQ Erosion Control Plans and Permitting, Storm water BMP’s; producing site development plans for multi-family, single-family and commercial projects; and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is considered a plus.
