Rivers & Associates, Inc. was formed by Henry L. and Thomas W. Rivers from the company started by Henry L. Rivers in 1918. Henry L. Rivers focused on delivering high levels of service with an eye on innovation and deliberate project management. In 1958, the firm was incorporated as Rivers & Associates, Inc. These same principles of operation are what have guided Rivers & Associates, Inc. (Rivers) to become a leading engineering firm in eastern North Carolina with specialized expertise across many markets.

In our 90 years of existence, we have worked on varied projects and have faced a multitude of challenges. We bring a level of experience and expertise to our client projects that is unparalleled by many other firms in the industry. We currently maintain offices in Greenville, North Carolina and Raleigh, North Carolina with over 70 associates, all carefully selected for their expertise, integrity and work ethic. The company is owned by 12 employee partners who guide daily operations and provide day-to-day involvement in all aspects of the business ensuring exceptional client response and delivery. We are committed to continuing education so our personnel stay abreast of changing technology, engineering advancements and all regulatory and environmental directives.

As a result of the many complex project challenges that have been presented to our teams, we have pioneered innovative solutions for a varied client base that includes many well known commercial clients as well as local and state government organizations and federal regulatory agencies.
